My family and i watched the new, multi award nominated Clint Eatwood film American Sniper, earlier today. Has anyone else seen it? WWhat did you think? Starring Bradley Cooper, the film is up for all manner of awards..and deservedly so. Collectivly, we loved the film. Atmospheric, unflinching, the running time ran by just like that. Fantastic performances and a fantastic film.

Thoroughly enjoyed this film. It was an edge of seat experience from start to finish. All credit to the ageing Clint Eastwood for directing such a dynamic, vibrant film. It is so good to see Bradly Cooper getting increasingly more substantial film roles, and doing them justice. I loved his understated performance. Sienna Miller was a pleasure to watch as his long suffering wife. Thank you from a very satisfied movie fan. Starstruck.

Glad you enjoyed the film, zacmcc121, mate. Strong performances from all, Sienna Miller was really fit in this as well (maybe not quite as fit as when she was in G I Joe, but still). I have seen a few of this years major award contenders. I certainly have not seen them all (cannot bring myself to go see The theory of Everything or The Imitation game with old Benedict cucumber patch). Out of the ones i have seen, amaerican Sniper is my fave so far. Hope it does well.

Not bad, Not Great but Not Bad apart from the flag waving. Planes hit Twin Towers while hero is watching on telly, 'I gotta do something about this honey, Oh baby I don't want you to go, why you sugar? Coz I larve Amurca, its the bestest God dam condry on urth, Gods own condry, God Bless Amurca! Amen.
Apart from that it was alright.

In two minds on watching this film, Eastwood is a good director, and Bradley Cooper is a good actor. But apparently the person it's based on is supposed to have actually been much less nice than shown (things like competitions to see who could get the most targets with another person). Does sound like they've made a film that all the flag waving Americans will love.

Oh, the film screams of being a walking, talking recruitment poster..but what a damned fine film American Sniper was none the less. For me, of all the films up for awards this awards season, this was my fave (of the ones i have seen). Cant deny or confirm if the guy on whom the film is based wasnt as nice a guy as being made out.

I sat down to watch this film and I don't think I made it more then 15 minutes into it. It didn't "grab" my attention right away so I just turned it off. I have been meaning to go back and actually watch the whole movies though, since I've heard good review about it since then.
