Mix the bus chase from Speed with the bank heist from Heat and you've sort of got the plot of Ambulance. Bay's directorial style is typically frenetic and bombastic. The performance from Gyllenhall is scenery chewing and Mateen's is more nuanced. But the real star of the film is Eiza Gonzalez, she lights up the screen whenever she appears.
