  Bad luck for Kimi....
  
  Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen has been disqualified from qualifying at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and will start the race from the back of the field. Kimi qualified fifth but his car then failed a front-floor deflection test.
  
  Floors are tested for rigidity because a floor that can flex can give an aerodynamic performance advantage.
  
  The race stewards rejected Lotus's argument that the part had broken as a result of contact with a kerb.
  
  Lotus had successfully used that argument when a similar issue afflicted Raikkonen's team-mate Romain Grosjean at the Hungarian Grand Prix in July.
  
  But in Abu Dhabi the stewards said that they "did not accept that the incident referred to constituted an accident or excused failing the relevant test".
  
  Lotus now have the choice of starting Raikkonen from the back of the grid or from the pit lane if they change the settings of the car to make it easier to overtake.

  Awful start for Webber on pole, and Vettel overtakes him on turn one, with Rosberg snatching second place. Hamilton drops a place too, he's down in 5th now.
  
  Another Vettel win then.
  
  Definitely a weekend to forget for Raikkonen, Russy. He's the first retirement of the race, a collision with one of the Caterhams knackering his suspension.

  A problem with Webber's Kers sees him drop to 9th, while Sebastien Vettel extends his lead to 5.5 seconds.

  God knows what Lotus were up to with Kimi, Vettel showed the way to go last season with starting from the pitlane having upped the gear ratios so he could overtake. Lotus were too conservative by starting on the harder tyres and trying to make places through the pit stop windows, bad tactics!

  and Massa is driving like a man possessed, nicely done Felipe, I hope he gets a decent drive next year, and then be able to take Alonso off in some 'accidents' :)

  And that's 65 consecutive races in which Ferrari have been amongst the points. A new record.
  
  Ao another win for Vettel. Great effort by Webber to force his way back up to 2nd as well.

  Just dominance from Vettel and Red Bull, sustained and unbeatable dominance by them. Yes there are a lot of reg changes coming for next season but does anyone see it changing the dominance they have? Not me

  The last big regulation changes were in 2009 and Ross Brawn managed to get a jump on Adrian Newey at the start of the season and it led to Jenson Button leading from beginning to end so I wouldn't take it for granted. I know Ferrari have re-employed some of the crew from their glory days so I doubt they will come in quietly, McLaren have a lot to prove as well.

  Yeah will probably seem like a very long shot in a years time. The adverts for the USA Grand Prix make me laugh, it confirms what I thought the yanks would do, cheerleaders etc.. bells
