  Ok, this is probably gonna prove more than a tad schmaltzy for many of my fellow Rampant buddies. That said, being a dog owner myself, fellow dog owners should enjoy/appreciate this film for what it is. Has anyone else seen 'A Dog's Purpose' yet? If so, what did you think? The film essentially tells of A dog looking to discover his purpose in life over the course of several lifetimes and owners. Watched this with two female members of my family and whilst i enjoyed the film for its warmth, effective storytelling and subject matter, the female members of my family were in tears on a few occassions (dog owners and/or lovers beware..there are a few scenes in this that are not only not really suitable for young kids but also are liable to have a portion of the public reaching for something to dry their eyes with). Supose, to be able to pull someting like that out of the bag is a testment to the storytelling and the gys behind the movie. Dog owners and dog lovers..this is definatly worth a look.

  this is a interesting movie u posted here from a dogs point of view, i probably wont look for it to watch it but might if i stumble across it, but a bit to pg for me i think

  It is all very nicey, nicey, lovey dovey for the most part, Dony..and then wham, it hts ya with some pretty sad, depressing scenes. I was fine with them (despite being a dog owner) but the female members of my family were in bits..and this happened a few timesduring the course of the film. For the most part it is very light hearted stuff but pretty darn entertaining at the same time. Id suggest watching if you were / are a dog lover (or possibly animal loover in general). If not really phased by such things, asides from solid storytelling and some pretty decent performances, suppose theres not that much of a draw.

  lol its one of those ones is it, i really i hate watching movies that make me cry lol, closet movie like this that i watched was beethoven if u remember that, im sure u do its a classic

  Just to clarify, Dony, i did not cry at the film (almost everyone else in the room mind lol). Nope..have never cried at a fllm. Have seen a couple of films that have provoked the kind of 'sticks with ya for a couple of days afterwards and is at the forefront of your thoughts for those couple of days'. The two films in question were are 'Dont look now' starring Donald Sutherland and the stdio Ghibi masterpiece 'Grave of the fireflies'. I do recall the fundementals of Beethoven and if memory serves, by comparisson 'A Dogs Purpose' is more likely to have you welling up than Beethoven.
