Animal attacks aren't usually something I need to worry about. I mean I live in the countryside so there aren't too many wild beasts roaming around waiting to attack me. But it turns out - we all need to be scared, as goats are now topping the list of dangerous animals. Yup, goats.
Apparently a bunch of goats went mental at the Olympic National Park after hikers used the trail posts as urinals. Goats are attracted to the salt and minerals in human urine and sweat and because everyone was weeing on the trails, the goats were heading to the trails and then just attacking people like some wee wee addict who would do anything for their next fix.
The problem got so bad that the goats had to be airlifted out of the area to stop anymore attacks. Here they are being blindfolded and flown out of the park.
It sounds kind of funny until you hear about a guy named Bob Boardman was followed by a goat for five or six miles during a hike before it made it's move and gored him to death. Damn. what a way to go. I won't be petting the goats at my next farm visit, that's for damn sure!
