1974 Lancia Stratos Group 4: Sliding The Rally Queen
I was just in Italy for a cheeky vacay and I was shocked, shocked I tell you, to see what Lancia have become.
The only car they manufacture now is this nasty bit of kit, the Ypsilon. The famed reliability of a Fiat 500, yet with none of the style. Don't all rush at once. But do you know what's worse than one of them? One of them, but 10 or 15 years old, looking a bit tatty and dated. Or the Musa. Or the Lybra. It's a far cry from the rallying glory days of the Delta and the Stratos (the likes of which were nowhere to be seen) isn't it? Shout out to Petrolicious for this timely reminder of better times. Why'd you have to fuck it up, Lancia? Why?

RE: 1974 Lancia Stratos Group 4: Sliding The Rally Queen
The Lancia Stratos brings back memories. Bernard Darniche winning Monto Carlo in his blue car, Sandro Munari….and Marku (too much gravel on road) Alen….amazing car and won so many rallies. I also loved the 037 and the Martini S4s and Integrale. Add in the gorgeous Gamma coupe.....so many great cars....then shite. Rebadged junk. Like Saab they were destroyed by accountants and people who didn't understand the heritage.
