the better question is why are you flooding the forum with very similar posts, one word threads, and just generally pointless posts! if you just read the rules and the info about points for posts, or even better used the search feature all of your questions would be answered!

Well I think fleshing out posts to 140 characters on a forum is a bit much seeming as most actual real life conversations are short sentences and fleshing things out is really hard to do. Also does 140 characters include spaces or not? And who's to say that people won't just flesh out posts by explaining things to literally, or by rambling on when the occasion does not call for it. Also will they use does not instead of doesn't just to earn extra characters? I guess I will never know, but hey I am new here so hello.

it's pretty obvious when people are trying to artificially extend there posts, and if they do it they get reported and depending on how much they've done it etc... possibly banned.

the whole point of the 140 is that get points if your posts are over, not that you should make sure all your posts are over it. the points are a reward and not something guaranteed for every post you make
