Well, after a couple of, well frankly by the numbers episodes, last sundays was certainly more like it. Probably because the sole fucus wasnt on the lead up to the jfk assasination, other elemens were played out in tandem. That ex husband of James Franco's love interest..what a nut job that guy is. Made for a much better episode.

Indeed was an absolute whacko, btw what was the stuff about him with regards to getting intimate with his wife? And about his grandmother sadly was watching while family were talking! Trying not to google about it and spoil the rest of the series but adrenaline pumps through me wanting to know what happens as obviously we know what happened for real back on that date

With the most recent episode of this, while not as effective an episode as say the previous weeks it was certanly an eventfull episode with James Franco's character certainly getting more hands on. That Bill thouigh, what a fuckking douche he is *SPOILER* he deserved everything that happened to him (and them some) for his antics during the episode. What with only 2 episodes to go though im curious as to, when James Francos character returns to the future, how things are going to have changed. In true Stephen King fashion theres bound to be a massive sting in the tale at the very end.

With only 1 episode of this left to go and the assassination drawing near i was hoping for a lot more from the penultimate episode. Too be honest i was bored. The episode strated interesting with the whole hospital scene seemingly skipping between times but after that, for me, it was a below par episode with its sole purpose being t move thing forward to the date in question. Still, we are there now so will know in a couple of days if its gonna happen or not (and presumably the ramafycations of Jake and co's meddling with time).

I agree was disappointed with it to be honest, but then Jake's amnesia didn't help hence the story slowing down with him not being able to remember what he was doing with regards JFK. Thought he may have reverted to modern day Jake and spoke about his present day self and dropping himself in it by telling someone about what happens on the day!

Well, tats it. The shows all over. The finale, while entertaining wasnt quite the pay off i was hoping for. Am gonna resist putting spoilers but suffice to say asides from the will the assasination take place question, possibly the bigger question is what impact did Jake and co's actions have on the future. Am not gonna say if Jake survives and / or makes it back to the present but the reward of atleast being shown what effect his actions had did leave me wanting. As the climax to a single season show the pay off should have been a lot more impressive. Instead, it just felt a bit 'meh'.

Totally agree I was left a bit is that it? May have to buy the book see how close the series was to Stephen King's version whether it was 100% true to it! Have saved the whole series so can watch again in a few weeks time when I am bored with other stuff.

Kudo's to you for stating that you may watch the whole series again in a few weeks. For me, after that total lack of a payoff ending, im never watching the series again. Curious whether the ending was the same damp squib in the books. #spoiler~ it was only a small detail but after Jake chucking his phone in the river in the 60's i was half expecting somone to find it and it leading to some kind of leap in technological advancement meaning when he did return the future would be one f flying cars and shit. Out there i know but that was one of those little details that had me thinking. For me the show was at its best during episode 2 and the episode involving Jakes love interests husband, in other words, for me the showed excelled during the darker episodes.
