Porsche 918 Spyder
More news from Frankfurt now, where Porsche have been showing off their shiny new model, the 918. It debuted in Geneva way back in 2010 but is now finally ready for production, fresh from setting a new OEM-spec Nurburgring lap record of 6m 57s.
So it's pretty quick then, and looking at it's vitals, it's not hard to see why. The 4.8 litre V8 gives 608hp with the electric motor (yeah it's a hybrid, aren't they all these days) topping that up to 887hp. 0-60mph is taken care of in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 199mph.
