These are Top Gear's Performance Car Of The Year Contenders
I'll be sure to let you know when the longer, more drivesy footage lands but for now let's just enjoy Chris Harris introducing this year's assembled contenders, which count amongst their number the Ford GT, McLaren 720S and the, err, VW Up! GTI.



Mind you, if the souped Up! can tempt people who drive Those Sorts Of Cars to go a bit faster than 20 mph once in a while then it'll have undoubtedly been a success.
