FERRARI TO MAKE LE MANS RETURN?
They've not taken part in LMP1 since 1973, but this thing here looks like it'd do a job.
And while we're at it, here's the lovely 512 from 1970. Any excuse... More here ![]() |

RE: FERRARI TO MAKE LE MANS RETURN?
The Ferrari 512 along with the Porsche 917 (in it's Gulf livery) are amongst the best looking cars ever produced. Now, I know the top car is a Ferrari and I should get excited by it, but it is just, ugly. I mean really ugly.

Agree with you on the new Ferrari, Bob. Aerodynamics have got a lot to answer for...
Had to google the Porsche. This one? Definitely a looker. ![]() |

RE: FERRARI TO MAKE LE MANS RETURN?
Le Mans could be a treat over the next few years then. The last few years have been Audi dominated after Peugeot pulled out, Toyota have been coming up and did a decent job this year but still look a couple of years away from challenging. So for 2014 we will have Porsche and Ferrari in the mix too, nice!

But while we're at it, I've found a couple of vids of the last Ferrari to win at Le Mans way back in 1965, right before the GT40's spell of domination. Ladies and gentlemen, the 250 LM! We'll start with the borderline pornographic close-ups, and move on to the test drive. Still goes, don't she? Cracking restoration job. ![]() |
