Police were investigating whether the viral video below that emerged of a girl tied up in a basement was a hoax or not, after fears that the footage could actually be real. As it turns out the footage was fake but still no less chilling.

The freaky video titled 'Hi Walter! It’s me Patrick!' was uploaded to YouTube recently and shows a weird guy in glasses talking about a girl he met at the mall. He then takes the camera through to the bathroom, where he opens the door to a girl who is tied up, crying on the floor. Many people who saw the video suggested that the girl bared an uncanny resemblance to a teen called Kayla Berg who went missing in 2009; even her family thought it was her.


Even though the police have confirmed the video as fake, it still gave me the fucking creeps. Even Kayla's brother Jimmy had his hopes that it was his missing sister;

"Ok… for everyone messaging me… yes I’ve seen the video… and to be honest, I almost had a panic attack at work… shut down my machines and had to go sit outside.If you’re wanting my opinion let’s just say this… we’ve contacted the FBI because our local PD doesn’t have the experience needed for this.Hope that answers your questions. Now please stop blowing up my phone."



It's pathetic and cruel that someone would post a video like this knowing there are so many people that go missing every year. kayla's poor family must have thought there was a real chance their daughter was coming home. Let's hope the moron who filmed this gets shit posted through his letterbox!
