A blogger has been fined by a French judge after her restaurant-review blog post was ruled too damaging.
In the post titled "the place to avoid in Cap-Ferret: Il Giardino", which has since been deleted, she had complained of poor service and what she said was a poor attitude on the part of the owner during a visit in August 2013. Which is her own opinion am-i-right?
Now the judge had ruled against her for, get this, having a too high Google search result ranking for the restaurant name and because her blog had over 3,000 followers she was deemed "too influential".
The Judge has ordered her to change the blog's title and pay €1,500 ($2,000; £1,200) in damages to the restaurant, as well as €1,000 legal fees.
Now critics beware, anyone leaving a negative opinion in this thread will be sued in a French court in front of this judge.
But seriously, how fucking ridiculous is this? if you dont want a bad review, stop being so shit, if anything, they should pay her.
