  Plenty of controversy for the Aussies in the build-up to this series, something which has continued between the first and second tests. With only a 4 day rest period after the Trent Bridge match, they could have done without allegations from ex-coach Micky Arthur regarding the harmony (or lack of) in the dressing room. Brad Haddin has come out and denied any issues between Michael Clarke and Shane Watson, but after losing by 14 runs last time out in a gruelling 5-day thriller, it's a distraction they could have done without. They'll take heart from pushing the home side so close though, and will fancy their chances of at least matching that this weekend.
  
  England's preparations have been altogether more tranquil. Doubts over the fitness of James Anderson and Matt Prior have subsided and both should take to the field tomorrow. The only question mark is whether Alaistar Cook will stick with Steve Finn or replace him with Graham Onions or Tim Bresnan. The 6'7" Middlesex bowler had a tough time last week but Cook will be mindful of his excellent record at Lords before making a decision. Compared to the drama in the Aussie camp, it's a nice problem to have.
  
  No-one expected the last test to be so close. How do you think this one will go?

  Watching it live, and I was so sure I spotted Briss in the crowd. Then I stopped watching the Hannah Montana concert and started watching the Ashes.

  England have won the toss and will bat first, with play getting underway at 11:15 after the players have met the Queen.
  
  Just one change for England with Tim Bresnan coming in to replace Steve Finn.
  
  Australia make two changes after their narrow defeat at Trent Bridge, Usman Khawaja and Ryan Harris will replace Ed Cowan and Mitchell Starc.

  England: A Cook, J Root, J Trott, K Pietersen, I Bell, J Bairstow, M Prior, T Bresnan, S Broad, G Swann, J Anderson.

  Apparently there is some question about one end of the pitch??? Don't know whether this is an actual issue or just scuttlebutt in the offing. It's very dry as you'd imagine lol... Sunday may be a little cooler, then for Monday it's expected to be even hotter, with an outside chance of a thunderstorm
  Lords has been good for the England batters, so maybe this time they can put up a decent score and give their bowlers a little less pressure !
  At least Cook's started well, about time for another century...... Hahaha, as I write this Cook is out lbw by Watson... bloody typical.

  FFS, we were doing all right until I went to make a coffee, and I come back to this.
