RE: For the Horror film fans

Another week, another slew of crap films and sadly, included in that were a couple of horrors that i'd suggest everyone avoiding. The most recent offender (and one that managed to put me to sleep an hour in through sheer boredom..really should have killed the film prior) was called 'The Lodgers'. The basic set up is, set in 1920's Ireland, the film tells of a brother and sister in their secluded, down trodden mansion of a house who are subject to all manner of ghostly goings on courtesy of a mysterious force that seems to emminate from uder the house. They are supposed to be safe from whatevers happening so long as they adhere to 3 rules, naturally which one of the 2 siblings flouts on a pretty regular basis. The film was painted as a slow burner ghost story. The problems lie in the fact that it's not only way too slow but the fact tat not enough happens with only a handfull of ghostly goings on which dont even really rank as spooky let alone scary. The only redeeming element is that the sister is pretty fit and you get to see a little bit of poorly lighted side boob as shes getting in the bath..this was the singular redeeming element to this film. I was so bored that, whilst i may have missed the last half hour, i dont feel the need t return to the film.
