Here we are, the most exciting day of the year, the moment Jim White has been waiting for...
The window shuts in less than 15 hours,
who still needs what?
Gareth Bale's world record £85m (£300k a week too!) switch to Real Madrid was finally completed last night, a move which could see some big names leaving Madrid. Arsenal are in advanced talks with
Mesut Ozil and would still like to get something done with
Angel Di Maria too. The Gunners are also being linked with
Demba Ba,
Abel Hernandez and
Julian Draxler. Anyone with a pulse, basically.
Marouane Fellaini's move to Man Utd should go through today, but the chances of
Leighton Baines making the same switch seem to be fading as Everton don't want to sell. David Moyes could bid for
Fabio Coentrao instead, but Spurs are also still interested in the Portugal left back.
Tiago Ilori's move to Liverpool has just been confirmed and the loan of
Victor Moses shouldn't be far behind. Once he's signed,
Fabio Borini will leave Anfield to link up with Paolo Di Canio at Sunderland.
Stoke have signed Austria winger
Marko Arnautovic from Werder Bremen, and Juventus striker
Fabio Quagliarella could be on his way to West Brom.
And here's a laugh, Harry Redknapp wants to take
Emmanuel Adebayor and
Benoit Assou-Ekotto to QPR on loan. Course he does.
