ROONEY TO CHELSEA?

"Overall my thought on Wayne is, if for any reason we had an injury to Robin van Persie, we'll need him" - David Moyes.
So he's a back-up then.
Rooney's apparently furious at that comment and doesn't feel that there's a way back for him now at Old Trafford. Arsenal have already had a bid rejected and PSG are still thought to be interested. But after a drip-feed of comments on the England striker over the summer from Jose Mourinho, and more recently from Eden Hazard, Chelsea finally made a bid last night.
£10m plus David Luiz or Juan Mata if reports are to be believed, and it was rejected.
A lot of the speculation surrounding Rooney over the last few months has put a figure of around £25m as the amount needed to prise him away. That United have dismissed a package easily worth £35m would suggest that's well below the mark. Of course they might be looking for a straight cash deal, but while they might not be crying out for David Luiz at centre half, surely Juan Mata would be a perfect fit to strengthen their midfield?
And why is Mourinho so eager to sacrifice one of his best players?
Looks like this one could run, just when we thought it had been put to bed...
What do you think will happen?
