Arsenal have had a £30m bid for Luis Suarez rejected by Liverpool. That actually happened, not even made up. It’s unclear whether they’ll be back with an improved bid but they’re going to end up winning something if they’re not careful.
Sticking with decent strikers on their way to North London, David Villa could complete his move to Tottenham this week after ‘reaching an agreement in principle’ with the club. No mention of whether Barcelona have agreed to anything, mind.
We’ll have to do without Edinson Cavani next season though, the Napoli striker has joined PSG apparently. No Robert Lewandowski either, he’ll go to Bayern Munich rather than Chelsea or Man Utd, but I think we knew that already…
All strikers today it seems. Swansea should tie up a £12m deal for Wilfried Bony within the next 24 hours and Darren Bent is set to Leave Aston Villa, who’ll take £5m cash in hand. Newcastle, Fulham and Hull are ‘poised’. And if Hull’s poising comes to anything he could form a striking dream team with Burnley’s Charlie Austin, he’s due at the KC Stadium for a medical today.
One more. Aurona Kone will complete his £5m move to Everton later today.
And Jack Butland fancies a loan move to Spain as he looks to boost his prospects of being selected for next year's World Cup. It has absolutely nothing to do with not wanting to be in Stoke, alright?
