  I'm currently enjoying the Sterioscopic 3D films which have come out since Avatar and I was wondering if I am alone on this front.
  
  The old school version of 3d that has the red and grees spex was really good when i was 5 but nothing compared to the awesomeness of the modern films like Thor and the Avengers films.
  
  Mr Cameron has taken a concept first proved to work decades ago and managed to get it working in a modern environment. How odd then that the film credited for Kick starting a whole new age of 3D in film and TV is currently not actually available in 3d!
  
  I currently only have a few 3D title at hoome as i've only just bought a monitor capable of viewing them, but i will get a few more when i get the chance. So far I have:
  
  Thor
  Captain America
  Underworld Awakenings
  Tron
  
  I have to say i am very impressed with the quality of the 3d on my screen and am always on the look out for more films so if you know of any good ones available in 3D plx let me know here

  I`m not a fan of 3d myself, i`ve personally never thought it added all that much to the experience of watching a film, and with certain films there are parts which are designed for things to come at you that are pointless if you choose to watch the film in 2d, but each to their own, (doesn`t help that the few times i did watch a 3D film my eyes just didn`t adjust for some reason)

  i agree with JLF, i've never once watched a film when i thought the 3d actually made it any better than it would have been otherwise, and in a lot of cases it actually makes the film worse as they so obviously shoe horn in the 3d bits
  
  i think it would different if the 3d was actually anything like the way they used to advertise it, you know with people sitting in a cinema and jumping out the way as things were right next to theme tc... but tbh all the new style really seems to do is add a bit of depth which while nice doesn't make a film any better for me.

  I guess it's not for everyone. I really enjoy the sense i get when i watch something like the scene in Avatar when the ash is falling as i feel it's a lot more real, like the screen is actually a window and i can open it and walk into the movie.

  that's fair enough, i think you might be the first person i've spoken with who actually feels like that about the 3D, most people i've spoken with seem to feel liike i do in that the 3D just makes things occasionally feel like they have a little bit of depth but not that it feels like a window or that anything's actually flying at you etc...
  
  i know that it feeling like it has a bit of depth obviously is 3D technically but i think i'm so unimpressed with it because of growing up with those ads when the audience were jumping all over the place, that's what i want from 3D

  3d definetely gives film a certain edge but the annoying thing is wearing those silly glasses which are often blurry and do make for very comfortable viewing

  they are currently working on a version of 3d that is based on the 3Ds by Nintendo which doesn't require the use of glasses, the tv's should be out in a year or so, which i'm looking forward to with interest.
