RE: Maria Sharapova
Sharapova is just ridiculously hot... my only problem with her is that she has pretty muscular shoulders (not surprising since she is a tennis player). Still I would do anything and everything to that girl![/align]

Maria Sharapova: Former coach says positive test is 'a game-changer'

Maria Sharapova reveals Australian Open failed drugs test
Maria Sharapova's failed drugs test is a "game-changer for life, not just for tennis", says her former coach.
Nick Bollettieri also told the BBC he was shocked the former world number one had tested positive because "she has always been above board in everything".
But the 84-year-old American added: "Everybody must accept responsibilities for everything they do in life."

Sharapova, 28, has taken meldonium for health reasons since 2006, but it became a banned substance in 2016.
The Russian revealed she tested positive after losing to Serena Williams at the Australian Open in January.
The International Tennis Federation said Sharapova would be provisionally suspended from 12 March.
She could face up to a four-year ban.
Bollettieri said he believed Sharapova had made a "very honest mistake" and had not taken the drug to gain an unfair advantage.

Silly girl, but it could have been a honest mistake, but don't you think someone in her team knew she was takng the substance and warned her about it being banned,,i for one hope she doesn't get a heavy ban,Tennis has done a lot for her and most certainly she has done a lot for tennis..
And to think popstars are hailed as heroes when they are taking drugs ,and youngsters just follow in their footsteps,,but as soon as a sportsman does it all hell  breaks lose,,fucking crazy

RE: Maria Sharapova
Like most if not all of the top sportsmen and women, I have no doubt she was playing the system with the drug she was prescribed.  She just got caught up when it was finally banned.

Shit happened.

The sanctimonious dicks in the tennis world are the ones who are annoying.  Let's face it, half of the shit she's taking right now is because she's Russian and got caught, not because she got caught out.
There are sportsmen and women repeatedly missing test appointments or unable to prove what was in the package they received and because they are competing for the UK no one here is on their case.

Anyone find it amazing how many top cyclist have Asthma and a prescribed medication that just happens to help while competing?

Small rant over.

She was playing well in Italy then she found out her fate for Roland Garros then suddenly retired injured, :(  shame

Maria Sharapova: French Open wildcard reasoning wrong, say WTA

French Open organisers had "no grounds to penalise" Maria Sharapova by denying her a wildcard entry to the tournament, says the Women's Tennis Association.
The Russian, 30, was ranked too low to gain direct entry as she continues her return from a 15-month drugs ban.
The French Tennis Federation (FFT) chose not to hand Sharapova a wildcard to "protect" the sport's standards.

Its a shame but she will get that all the time now :( she now has to wait till June 20th to see if she will get a wildcard for Wimbledon.
They wont let her in no way :(

I don't know why the powers that be never banned her for life cos she is just going to get pushed around from pillar to post :( ,I don't know where the desire from her comes from if she knows she is not wanted, its not for the money. :(

US Open 2017: Maria Sharapova stuns Simona Halep on Grand Slam return

Maria Sharapova made a dramatic return to Grand Slam action by knocking out world number two Simona Halep at the US Open.
The Russian won 6-4 4-6 6-3 in front of a sell-out night session crowd of almost 24,000 people in New York.
Sharapova, 30, was playing her first Grand Slam match since serving a 15-month doping suspension.
The 2006 champion and former world number one needed a wildcard to enter the main draw as she is ranked 146th.

When her name was drawn alongside Halep's in the first round it set up a contest that felt more like a Grand Slam decider than opener.
Over the course of two hours and 44 minutes, Sharapova's greater pace off the racquet outstripped Halep's speed of foot, with 60 winners proving decisive despite 64 errors.
"You never know what you're going to feel until you win that match point, but everything you go through is worth it for this moment," said Sharapova, who now has a 7-0 record against Romania's Halep.
"You sometimes wonder why you put in all the work, and this is exactly why."
Sharapova goes on to face Hungary's Timea Babos, the world number 59, in round two on Wednesday.

You go girl Cool

US Open 2017: Maria Sharapova beats Timea Babos to reach third round

Maria Sharapova relied on her fighting qualities rather than top form to beat Hungary's Timea Babos at the US Open.
The Russian wildcard, playing in her first Grand Slam since completing a doping ban, won 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 6-1 to reach round three.
Babos had two break points to lead by a set and 4-2 but Sharapova came through in two hours and 20 minutes.
"I knew I wanted to get it done and I did," said Sharapova, who beat world number two Simona Halep in round one.
"I felt like it was a scrappy match but sometimes those days are the best, because you get through and give yourself another chance."

Sharapova was given a wildcard into the main draw as she is currently ranked 146th following her 15-month doping suspension.
The decision drew criticism from some quarters but Sharapova received a warm reception from the crowd in both matches.
"I think with the way that I played Monday night, I don't think there are any more questions," she said.
"I've had an amazing reaction from fans since I've been back, and that's been very special."
The 2006 champion will next face American wildcard Sofia Kenin.

Sharapova is 'good for tennis' - ITF president

Sharapova is "good for tennis", International Tennis Federation president David Haggerty says after the Russian's return to Grand Slam action following a 15-month doping suspension.

She maybe a cheat but she is a loved cheat Cool You go girl
