The man is just so commanding on the screen. I think he's more versatile than Pacino. He done most of his best films with Scorcese. If anyone is in doubt of his vesitality, then just check out 'The King Of Comedy'.
It shows De Niro in a different light and its hilarious.
He's better doing the tough stuff though. Taxi Driver, Casino and my favourite, Goodfellas!
Awesome!

right on, those are awesome, some of my favorite films for sure. if you like classic de niro you should watch raging bull too if you have not seen it already, i actually did not like it THAT much, but a lot of people love it.
Once upon a time in America is one of the best films ever, period.
And Deer Hunter is less known but also quality film and alswo inspiration for this funny ass commercial
I sat down to watch Raging Bull once, I thought it was ok but a little slow. I got through about 45 minutes when I had to turn it off and go
Somewhere. Also, once upon a time in america came on film4 once and I saved it onto my sky box. Before I started it up I checked the film running time and it said 4 hours! FOUR! I don't have that much time, I don't love de Niro that much, lol!
