  A new photo has just been released from the upcoming Conjuring spin-off movie, The Nun, and she's pretty darn terrifying.
  
  
  
  James Wan’s The Conjuring was a huge success when it hit cinemas back in 2013 and horror fans loved that it drew inspiration from true events.  With the movie being such a boxoffice smash, it wasn't long before a sequal was released, as well as spin-off movie Annabelle. People were mostly drawn the the second movie in the franchise The Conjuring 2 which was based on the real-life events of the Enfield haunting back in 1977.
  
  
  
  One of the main characters from The Conjuring 2 that really made people shit their pants was the creepy nun, known as Valek. That bitch was the stuff of nightmares so naturally the director wanted to make a movie based entirely around her. Here's the newly released teaser image. I certainly wouldn't want this hanging above my bed.
  
  
   
  In the previous film Valak, the demon entity haunted Lorraine Warren’s dreams, showing her horrific visions of her husband Ed’s imminent violent death. Although it was implied Valak was an ancient being who only took on the form of the nun to taunt Lorraine, the existence of the spin-off confirms it’s a guise the demon has used before. SPOOOOOOKY! Here's the synopsis for The Nun:
   
  

  Quote:A priest with a haunted past and a novitiate (a nun in training) on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate a suicide at an abbey in Romania.Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret and risk their lives and their souls to confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun as the abbey becomes a battleground between the living and the damned.

  
  Yup, sounds right up my street. I'll be sure to bring extra tissues when it's released on August 10th just in case I accidentally shit myself in fear.

In all seriousness though, whilst i did enjoy 'The Conjuring 2' the real star of the show for me was that damn nun..tallk about being creepy as hell..just what i like. The team behind this, the premise, the hope that they wont deviate from what made the nun so special first tme around..this could actually turn out to be the crown jewel in the whole conjuring universe of sorts. Looking forward to seeing whats done with this (and for aproper trailerr to drop as well).

  yeah that image is creepy asf reminds me of that mirror movie, and i saw conjuring 2 and that is one of the most scary movies i seen, so lets hope this spin off is no different

  While that whole scene involving the paintiing in 'The Conjurng 2' didn't scare me or frea me out..with what was done, even with that one scene bringing ol' demon nun into the mix..it was very, very effective. Just hope the film makes with a similar vibe and momentum as that would be awesome (and not have the whole concept watered down to appease the snowflakes out there lol).

  I loved the Conjuring films but Annabelle was pretty dreadful in my opinion, so I hope they stick with the conjuring vibe and don't deviate too much.

  Im in agreement with ya, ReedeFox. Whilst i cant recall hating the 'Annabelle' films to date, they also managed to be largely unmemorable. Despite the act that the most recent didn't actually come out all that long ago, it still managed to be divertng enough but without settin the world alight. 'The Conjuring' films themselves though do seem to have their act together. Wonder how long it will be until we see another of those.
