Jason Momoa wants to play Kratos in 'God of War' movie

Experience tell us us that video game adaptations are always pretty gash, but I have high hopes for a God of War movie, that could see Jason Momoa playing the role of Kratos.
The cinematic gameplay and awesome storyline of the God of War series would make an incredible big screen adaptation, and Jason Momoa would be the perfect choice as Kratos. The latest game, which will be released in a few days is the eighth in the franchise, has already received glowing reviews, so it makes sense that there has been talk of a movie adaptation.
There are no official plans for a movie just yet but I'm pretty sure it won't be long if a huge star like Jason Momoa wants to jump on board. Jason was recently asked at Comic Con if he was familiar with the series and if he would consider playing the role. He said:
Quote:Do I know God of War? Yeah, the guy with the white paint... I would love to play him.
God of War is out this Friday, so that's your weekend sorted! -

He clearly doesn’t know God Of War that well, because, and yes this being pedantic. It’s definitely not the guy in white paint, much more dark than that. So not really a sign he knows much about it, wouldn’t be against him playing the role mind, he could pull it off. Just hope he’d at least play more of the games before doing it if a film ever came to be. -

I have not owned a games console since te ps2/dreamcast days (decided to spend my spare time exercising instead of sittin on me arse lol) and dont really play games at all anymore. That said, reading a couple of reviews for this new 'God of War'..this is meant to be the dogs bollocks..game of the year man are saying..even made me consider (for all of 5 seconds) restarting being a gamer.You would think that there could be no way that any movie studio could possibly balls up a 'god of war' movie. Should be a safe bet except you can guarentee they will find some way of ballsing it up. Fair play to Momoa but you know The Rock will wind up playing Kratos lol.
