Tom Hardy sure has come a long way since his appearance on The Big Breakfast when he was just a floppy haired teen. The actor is currently filming Fonzo, a movie about the life of the infamous Al Capone, and Tom's transformation into the mobster is remarkable.

The biopic will tell the true life story of the mobster’s final years in Chicago as dementia sets in. The synopsis reads:

Quote:Once a ruthless businessman and bootlegger who ruled Chicago with an iron fist, Alfonse Capone was the most infamous and feared gangster of American lore. At the age of 47, following nearly a decade of imprisonment, dementia rots Alfonse’s mind and his past becomes present as harrowing memories of his violent and brutal origins melt into his waking life.

Fans have itching to see Hardy as the notorious crime boss since the movie was announced back in 2016 and now we can all finally see his transformation. It's insane!

Hardy recently posted this fake mugshot to Instagram.

When Al Capone was released from prison after a decade behind bars, he was in a pretty bad way health-wise and died shortly after of a heart attack. bringing an end to his reign of terror. The film is due for release later this year.
