  Jason Statham has just announced his latest movie project The Meg, which involves tonnes of action and a giant prehistoric shark!
  
   
   
  When a deep-sea submarine is attacked by a humongous 75-foot-long monster shark known as a Megalodon, the crew are trapped at the bottom of the sea with nobody to save them...except one man. I think we all know who. Enter Statham, who plays expert deep-sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor. What no one realises however, is that Joan has his own history with the monster, and this journey will see him confront his fears and risk his own life to save everyone trapped underwater.
  
  
  
  The $150 million movie is based on the novel, Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror, and is directed by Jon Turteltaub. It also has a pretty awesome cast including, Rainn Wilson, Ruby Rose, Winston Chao and loads more. Check out the trailer:
  
  
  
  This is literally my idea of an awesome film - huge prehistoric sea creatures and human survival. Yes please! The Meg is due for release on August 10th 2018.

  i know alot of people dont like jason statham as actor but there is something about him that i like, and im interested in this movie looks interesting, and that shark looked huge so im gona check it out

  Hmm..not gonna rush to the cinema to see this but will certainly check it out on its home release. Its certainly good to see ol Statham branching out (sort off) from the sort of roles he has become synonimous with (was in danger of being a real one trick pony..except for his self depricating turn in spy..bloody fantastic that was). Of course this will all be made or broken dependent on the effects / cgi guys and the effort they put in with the shark. Balls that up and file under 'do not bother'. The trailer seems to paint a solid enough picture though on that front.

  me to i dont ever go to the cinema anymore unless its a super banger coming out, and yeah lets hope the shark dont look super fake and just ruin the whole movie or show it off to early like kong

  This looks like a bit of dumb fun, story wise it’s basically Jaws on steroids but still. Jason Statham might not be the most ranged and subtle actors but this is the kind of role he plays well.. Plus they got Rainn Wilson and he’s good. The dog better survive though.
