The creators of
American Horror Story have revealed that season 8 is in the works and they have decided to go back to their roots. Woohoo!
Co-creator Ryan Murphy, along with some of the lead cast members recently did an interview to chat about the new season. Ryan said the new fantasy-inspired series will be released in 18 months and will have the same tone as second and third seasons,
Coven and
Asylum. I must admit, I'm bloody happy to hear that because the past four season on
AHS have been utter dog shit! Don't even talk to me about
Roanoke Nightmare.
Season 7 cast member Billy Eichner recently tweeted his excitement and revealed he'll be starring in season 8 alongside some of the long-standing cast members.
As you can see from Billy's tweet, Joan Collins will be appearing the new series and will play the grandmother of Evan Peters' character, who is described as being a comedic hairdresser. Just the fact that the show is going back to it's roots is getting me all excited. We've got a long-ass wait though so hunker down and wait for the drip-feed of info over the next 18 months.
