Meet the dude who didn't take a shit for a month!

We've all been constipated at some time in our lives, but not going for an entire month doesn't even bare thinking about. Which was the case for this poor dude from the 1890s who suffered with a condition called congenital aganglionic megacolon.


 
The unnamed man was apparently a healthy kid but he always had a large belly and suffered with constipation. By the age of 16, he was going up to a month without taking a shit. As anyone who hasn't been for a plop in a few days, you know that shits uncomfortable. A month would just be excruciating. 

As it was the 1890s, the dude couldn't just pop into his local A&E and he still needed to make money so he ended up in 'dime museum' as an exhibition where he was known as the 'Wind Bag' or 'Balloon Man'. 



The dude eventually died from his condition aged just 29. He was found in the bathroom trying to go to go for a shit. Poor guy. After his death, surgeons removed his colon which had 40lbs of turd in it. Yikes. You can now see his colon on display at the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia.



So if you haven't taken a dump for at least a week, go see a doctor so you don't end up with your colon in a museum like this poor bastard.
