  Remember when It was coming out and there were seemingly endless trailers and non-stop promotion? Well, be prepared to go through it all again because It: Chapter 2 is on the cards.
  
  
  
  Yup, It: Chapter 2 is expected to start production around 18th June of this year, with stage work happening at Pinewood Toronto Studios. The first film, which was released last September, was such a huge hit that it raked in a cool £500 million worldwide. Wowzers! That's a pretty tidy profit considering it only cost £25m to make. The movie also received quite a lot of positive reviews from critics. It currently has an 85 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
  
  It director Andrés Muschietti announced last year that the plan was to always film a follow-up, which would be set 30 years after the first film, which would make it 2018. It: Chapter 2 will follow the members of the Losers Club, who are now adults, on their mission to destroy Pennywise for good.
  
  
  
  It: Chapter 2 isn't due to hit cinemas until September 2019 so we have a long ass wait and about a million trailers to see first. I'm bloody excited though.

  The least surprising news ever that they are going ahead with part 2. Based on the first one I have confidence the second will be good. I’d have to try and find the link again, but after being one of the most suggested castings for older Beverly, Jessica Chastain is apparently in early talks to play older Beverly. She has worked with the director before on Mama, so that’s not at all surprise.

  Yeah, the sequel was a given and given how great the first film was, may actually have to open my wallet and travel to the cinema to see the follow up. Given the budget to takings ratio, this sequel is gonna be the proverbial hot ticket for actors and actresses alike so probably a safe bet that they will be lining up to be cast in this.

  Honestly I trust the director to get the casting of the adult versions right, i’ve Seen some dumb suggestions for the adult versions for some of the characters online. The high profile of the film should at least guarantee they might draw bigger name actors who aren’t usually drawn to horror films as well.

  The director certainly had it spot on with the casting of part one. That said, think im right in thinking thhat the bulk of the leads were played by unknowns or relative unknowns. Whilst im all for big names being drawn in to play the adullt versions in the follow up, just hope the director doesn't get starstruck by some of the big names and winds up making questionable choices as far as the casing goes (nothing wrong wit casting complete unknowns if they fit the bill..better that than some over paid heavyweight, over acting in the process and compromising the integrity of not only the sequel but tarnishing the 1st instalment as well).
