Got around to checing this out the other day and have just finished watching it. Reason being the film put me to sleep but thats not to say the film is a dead loss. Have gotta say the praise received by the critics, press etc..in my opinion, after seeing the film, was far, far in excess of the reality. Get the film was meant to symbolise this and significant for that..but did the film actually entertain (the only thing im on the lookout for). This film is either at it's best when it's al kicking off, when his sister is on screen and when his general is on screen. The dry wit and humour fromthe two individuals mentioned is second to none and the action does a pretty darn decent job. Trouble is, it's the rest of the film that lets it down. A little too chatty, a little too bogged down in tradition and frankly, for the first 90 minutes or so of the film, ol BP himself, when out of costume, is frankly a bit of an unentertaining drip. Devoid of wit, humour, likeability or personality, Does go some way to explaining why i watched the first 80 minutes and then had to return for the rest as i did get a bit bored. Is this going to trouble the better MCU movies already out in terms of sheer entertainment..no chance..but theres potential here.
