Happened upon this new Scott Adkin's straight to dvd british action thriller black comedy earlier today..whoa, whoa..dont skip this post just yet. I realise that opening line probably didnt exactly get ya all excited. On first read of the premise it didnt do a great deal for me either (a london set action black comedy based on a comic book borrowing its style from 'Lock Stock' concering a bunch of assassins with one in particular whose speciality is to make his kills look like accidents). Decided this boring sunday lunchtime to give it a looksee (as there was sod all else on) and stone the crows, wound up not only watching the whole thing but actually kinda enjoying it. Featuring some famous names gettin their inner bad-ass on (Ray Park, Michael Jai White, Ray Stevenson amomgs others), a well paced, action/martial arts heavy film..never boring with a dark sense of humor that hits more than it misses. Was genuinely suprised by this one..definatley worth a looksee.
