During a particually sow week on the film front was having a looksee when i happened upon a new seemingly unassuming martial arts film called 'Paradox'. Did a little research, thought i'd give it a chance and boy am i glad i did as whilst not with some niggles for the most part it was fantastic. Starring, amongst other's, Tony Jaa the film tells of a Hong Kong police negotiator whose 16 year old daughter goes missing in thailand and his subsequent search for her. Ok, granted, on occassion the film can get a little slowed down by the drama and the action scenes could have been greater in number. That said, the 3 or 4 bonafide action scenes are long and incredible..the level of martial arts in this film is off the page good. Not over long, never boring with top drawer action..could do a heck of a lot worse people.
