Lamborghini's electric concept car looks incredible!
You can understand why the purists sometimes get a bit touchy when manufacturers as sacred Lamborghini point towards a petrol-less future; but, if progress is looking this good I reckon we all might just survive.

Say hello to the Terzo Millenio...

It's been developed in conjunction with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a way of, amongst other things, exploring alternative methods of energy storage.  Without wanting to go too heavy on the science, it might not even need a conventional battery.  Potentially, its carbon fiber body could act as an accumulator for kinetic energy storage.  They're also looking at ways that material might 'self-heal' after a collision.

Some mad science-fiction ting right there.  Mind. Blown.

That is mental isn't it. I thought it looked overly futuristic but when you hear what they are doing with it then it makes perfect sense.

On sale in 30 years time to spoilt bastards who won't give a toss about energy efficiency. Get these 2 ton SUVs off the roads and save raw materials as well as fuel. The average family has no need for something the size of a Transit.
