I was gonna save this for another day to discuss under'films you couldnt make it near the end of' but suppose the fam really enjoyed it..can see this as being one that will divide the viewing audience. The film in question 'The Hitmans Bodyguard' stars Ryan Reynolds as the titular bodyguard, unsuprisingly guarding Samuel L Jacksonss hitman who has to make it to the international court of justice alive and on time to testify against another. Sounds appealing enough and with the very ccapable Reynolds and Jackson as the films leads what could possibly go wrong. Is it that the film is a Netflix film and, bless em for trying, it did fi=eel cheap and unpolished (why is it they seem to have tv shows sewn up but when it comes to movies that the have had a hand in financing or creating, the results are more often than not questionable). Personally, despite the action which was fairly frequent and the odd couple buddy up attempt of sorts between the leads, this felt underwhelming..didnt laugh once. This said, the fam enjoyed the film immensly and have already said theyd like t purchase it when/if it appears on dvd . So there you go, a marmite film..if you tae the plunge (although cinema prices to see this..dont say i didnt warn you) it could swing either way.
