Despicable Me 3

On a week full of frankly pretty crap films, this actually did a pretty reputable job. Got around to watching 'Despicable Me 3' with the fam yesterday. Having seen the first 2 instalments and being able to only recall elements, the one thhing that stuck with me with the first 2 films was how the minions stole the show...well, things are no different with this next instalment..and then some. The minions are of course as funny as ever but with plenty of comedy moments involving pigs (of all things) and a suprisingly funny/enjoyable turn by the villian of this instalment (with a heavy dose of nostalgia thrown in..80's fans will love it), where oh where did this fall a little flat. The awnser is with the central plot and the material afforded to the human portrayed members of the film. This said theres a heck of a lot to like here, hugely watchable but you may find yourself getting fidgety when the human portrayed characters (not the villlian of the piece) do their thing.
