Castlevania

Well, i certainly didnt see this one coming..not that i was aware it was on the horizon..what i didnt see coming was just how enjoyable the show would be. A rained in saturday afternoon, nothing to do, nothing to watch, decided to do a little digging and happened to read about a Castlevania tv show being relaesed on Netflix. Found it, watched the whole thing (that said season 1 is 4 episodes with each episode only just over 20 minutes in length) and was really impressed. Im not really up on the Castlevania games, had one on the snes and one on the Nintendo64 back in the day..beyond that, knowledge non existent. Thank the stars this was given to Netflix and not a mainstream channel when, to be honest, doubt it would have even made it to screen given how, when it kicks off, just how violent it is...and its all the better for it. This is just how video game adaptations can and should be done (imagine a live action version). Obviously going for an anime styling and all the better for it, very entertaining with the only critiscism being the series was so speedy and so short..really needed to be expanded on (and easily could have been). On the upside, a 2nd season will be relaesed next year. Recommended.
