'BEWARE THE SLENDERMAN' DOCUMENTARY LOOKS CREEPY AS FUCK

Two years ago, the world was left shocked after a 12 year old girl was stabbed 19 times by her two best friends after being lured into the woods during a sleepover. The two girls were later diagnosed with a mental illness but it was what they said after that really stunned everyone. They told the court that they were told to commit the murder by the infamous internet monster, Slenderman.

HBO has now made a documentary centering on the incident while also exploring the darkest corners of the internet and how they influence children’s thoughts.



Slender Man was originally created in 2009 as part of a Photoshop competition on a forum. The goal was to make normal photographs appear paranormal, with one user submitting two black and white photos of groups of children standing next to a tall, faceless figure wearing a black suit.
Soon after, the posts blew up up the internet with thousands of people creating fan art, cosplay costumes and eventually a video game.


 
The documentary, which is titled Beware the Slenderman is directed by Irene Taylor Brodsky and it focuses on the trial of the two girls responsible for the attempted murder, Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier. It looks pretty bloody creepy!
