And as 'BGT' came to a close, it's welcome back to 'America's Got Talent' (up to it's 13th season). Biggest differnce for us in the uk being that the series is not being shown on terrestial / sky/virgin..whatever tv this time around. It's being aired on Netflix instead. A good or bad move on ol' Cowell and co's part..only time will tell. Me, im just downloading it. 3 audition episodes in and to compare it to 'BGT' this year is an awkward one. On the upside there have beensome fantastic acts already and some truly hilariously bad ones. On the downside, whereas BGT makes with the sob stories on occassion, AGT seems to spend half the soddin episode on back and sob stories (which really makes the whole show suffer). Act's wise though it's so far so good (with the ai cautionary performance, the large mixed age gymnastics /dance group, the oriental (can't recall exactlt where he was from) close up card magic guy and the guy dressed as the caterpillar being personal favourites so far.
