RE: Scottish football
Stick the likes of Celtic and err.... dunno who else really, in the Prem and watch them all get spanked ;) Then again take Celtic away and Scottish football would be more shit than it already is. Id rather watch football down the park than watch that shite :P
Sorry to any Scots who are proud of their football league/ teams! :D

RE: Scottish football
Scottish football is shit right now and I'm Scottish.

The powers that be keep reorganizing things, restructuring leagues and if anyone not a blue nose is willing to admit it, they took the chance to settle old scores a few years ago.  All of which made a precarious position much, much worse.

The top tier struggle to half fill their grounds each week.  The apparently greatest club in Scotland barely manage to beat a non league team.  Winning 2-0 against East Kilbride was almost as big an embarrassment as drawing or losing would have been.

I personally don't think it has hit rock bottom yet.   The latest talks about restructuring might take it very close though.

I don't see things improving until the men in charge of Scottish football are gone.  Anyone who takes credit for success, but says he was only following the boards wishes when the shit hits the fan, should not be doing the job he's in.  The Scottish Professional Football League chief executive Neil Doncaster, being one of them.

There you go.  One rant, comment or whatever you wish to call it.  You may even call it the biggest load of shit typed about football if you want.

RE: Scottish football
I'm a proud Scotsman & proud Rangers fan, but Scottish football is in a hell of a state, so many artificial pitches, not bringing enough decent young players through, the latest young talent, Lewis MacLeod, he got called up to 1 Scotland squad, was sold to Brentford & hasn't been heard from since

They're restructuring the Scottish league cup to include a group stage, which is just plain bloody stupid

Celtic 1-0 St Johnstone: Rodgers hails players after Lisbon Lions record equalled

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has urged his players to mark their own place in the club's history by continuing their unbeaten run.
A 1-0 win over St Johnstone means Celtic have not been defeated in 26 domestic matches, equalling the record set by the Lisbon Lions.
They now lead second-placed Rangers by 22 points in the Scottish Premiership.

"To match a record of over 50 years, when you think of the players and teams who have played here, it's a massive credit to the players, how they've worked.

Celtic can break the record if they avoid defeat against Hearts at Celtic Park on Sunday

He thinks that these Norwegians should get tae fuck.

And they have.  Celtic won the tie 1-0 on aggregate and must only be 4 or 5 rounds away from the group stage by now.

Celtic: Scott Brown adamant players will 'bounce back' after record run ends

Captain Scott Brown says the Celtic players will not suffer a negative reaction to their 69-game unbeaten run coming to an end.
Hearts won 4-0 at Tynecastle to inflict the first domestic defeat of Brendan Rodgers' time in charge.
Brown admits the team has been affected by their British record run being halted, but says they will recover.
"Confidence is a little bit dented with the way we performed, but we'll bounce back," Brown, 32, said.
"We've got a big enough squad, we can deal with this. We'll be looking to kick on. The lucky thing about football is that we now have another game coming along to bounce back at Celtic Park."

RE: Scottish football
They're as flat as a pancake. Their dominance in domestic football has evaporated, by getting spanked against a mid table side...
It is like Real Madrid getting beaten by Spurs 3-1... Tongue
