Oh yes, I had forgotten that. Must have a dig in the memory banks.
One I won't be telling you about was the serendipitously related tale of my 4 day navigation of the Manchester Ship Canal with Sophie Hart. There's nothing like single-handedly opening 27 lock gates in a row to get your biceps in shape. You might have noticed the difference if you'd happened to watch her on the night-show around that time. I could have done with some myself but she hogged the lot.
She was particularly fascinated by the Barton Swing Aqueduct and wouldn't stop asking me questions about it (Hello, do I look like an expert on Victorian engineering structures? She spends all those tea-breaks with Lori Buckby on the tv shows, you'd think she could ask her, I heard she did a City & Guilds in metalwork history or something).
Of course it was selfie this and selfie that all the way, and some nice artistic waterscapes too (quite the talent actually - there's a future for her when she hangs up the g-string ), but she seems to have deleted them all off her instagram now, for some reason. Which is a shame as no one will believe me now.
